WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP

Completed Health Form, Bible, notebook, pencil, flashlight,

warm sleeping bag or warm bedroll, pillow if you use one.

 

CLOTHING

   BRING:  Casual or play clothes, 2 pair of shoes (one that can

   get wet), a warm coat or jacket,  sweatshirt, warm sleepwear

  (nights are often chilly) , walking shorts, socks, underwear.

   RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL: Some elective free time events  

   can cause permanent soiling of clothing.   

   We recommend you bring an extra change of shoes and

   clothing if you plan to be a part of these.

 

Dress Code:

   1.When kneeling, the bottom of your shorts

   should not be higher than 7" when measured from the ground.

   2.When you hold your arm up in the air, we should not be

   able to see your midrift nor your underwear.

   3.The strap at the top of blouses and shirts must be at least 3"

   in width

   4.Do not bring tight, revealing clothing

   5.Young men must wear their pants so that the underwear is

   not showing.

   6.T-shirts or caps cannot promote alcohol, tobacco, and drug

   use or display undesirable messages.

 

OTHER:  Towels and washcloths, soap, toiletries, swimsuit

(if you plan to swim), Chapstick.

 

STATIONARY: Bring stamps and stationary if you want to

write home.

 

Bring Completed Health and Insurance Form and any current

prescription drugs needed (in original labeled containers)

 

BUS:     Be ready to load the bus at 7:30 am

If you're scheduled to ride either bus and find your plans

changed, be sure to let us know at the earliest possible time. 

Concerning return trip, we cannot predict exact arrival time

on August 12th, but parents can expect them between 4:30

and 6:00 PM at the church building where they loaded.

 

CHECK-IN TIME AT CAMP:   Plan to arrive about 3PM

and check in with camp office upon arrival.

 

CANTEEN/CRAFTS VISA CARDS:  No money is used at

camp for these activities and the card system works well. 

Each card costs $10.00 and we recommend 2 cards per camper. 

Additional ones can be purchased.

 

LAUNDRY FACILITIES:   There's a coin-operated washing

machine available if laundry becomes essential.  Each camper

is to provide their own coins and detergent.

 

PHONE CALLS: We recommend bringing a prepaid phone card or

reverse billing for outgoing calls. Camp Phone is 530-284-9982.

 

ELECTRONICS / EXTRA CASH: Please do not bring expensive

electronics items or large amounts of extra cash.  Camp discourages

use of electronic items and cannot be responsible for money lost or

equipment damaged.
